i mean, i’m nonbinary. the assaults i’ve had from men are more severe, but they are from far fewer men. the assaults i’ve had from women are far, far less severe, but women in general seem comfortable assaulting people in broad daylight.

But they do commit ~50% of spouse murders, so at least thet have that for them?

Oh, and the women are vastly underrepresented in the victim statistics.

Interestingly, some researchers when they control for provocation, do find that the difference is because of gender norms, and without them the violence rates equalize - see https://psycnet.apa.org/doiLanding?doi=10.1037%2F0033-2909.119.3.422

Another fun fact, when it comes to incarceration rates women do tend to get more lenient sentences because they are women (and act pitiful on the trail) - however it is slowly changing as more and more judges slowly learn to ignore that bullcrap.

Sources and initial readings can be found in this wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sex_differences_in_crime

    It is fun :)

I didn’t read the linked article but from skimming the intro, it seems they found that unprovoked men are more likely to be violent but hell hath no fury like a provoked woman?

I initially connected your previous sentence, so I incorrectly thought it was the victim statistics that evened out, and the disparity was because the male victims were provoking, i.e. asking for it.

What the heck is wrong with you?

If they wanted equal pay, they should get higher paying jobs like doctor or lawyer instead of lower paying jobs like woman doctor or woman lawyer.

Reeeeeeeeally thought you were going to go in a serious direction as I started reading that.

Kinda like when Mallory Archer was talking about how she doesn’t get what her son sees in Lana.

“I mean really, what does he see in a black…ops field agent???”

Really felt like she was going in a whole different direction.

Y’know what, this stuff is sexist. It would be completely expected and socially supported for women to defend themselves against such odd claims, but when men do this, it’s because they’re “insecure”, or “whiny”. This is nothing but the projection of patriarchal approach to men as the ones shrugging it off meant to silence them against the clear gender war bullshit.

But then again, we’re in the shitposting community.

…if we just had more women doing revenge killings for the things men did to them, we’d be well on our way!
