Maxwell was indicted on July 20th, 2020, with 5 months left in Trump I. The Epstein files were not released until November 2025 (some, with more in December) 10 months into Trump II, and Congress had to pass a fucking law to get Trump & Co. to do what he campaigned on doing for that to even happen.
It didn’t go into hiding at all. None of the associates in the Epstein files seem to suffer any real consequences.
