Hey! I’m curious/looking for recommendations on everyone’s favorite leftist/long form video creator channels are?
A few of mine are
HasanAbi The Serfs Majority Report Secular Talk
Let me know what some of yours are!
Off the top of my head:
Hbomberguy
Shaun
Munecat
Folding Ideas
More Perfect Union
Andrewism
F.D Signifier
PhilosophyTube
Contra points
DeviantOllam
InRangeTV
Socialist Rifle Association
Princess Weekes for pop culture/media analysis.
F.D Signifier covers a mix of media and current events.
Dr. Caelan Conrad just got their fake-real doctorate from a paranormal university, highly recommended checking that out.
Idk about “leftist” as it’s outside of the Western framework but Shahid Bolsen’s rants/lectures are very informative and revitalising! He’s a loud spoken anti-imperialist political analyst like many others, the difference being that he takes God into account in his analysis. Just don’t look too deep into his past and certainly take any video regarding the UAE with a grain of salt, lol, as he might be a bit biased (compromised might be a better word, but nobody’s perfect 🤷).
You can find him on YT, the channel’s called “Middle Nation”.
I don’t really watch a ton of overly political Youtube channels, but one that probably counts is “Big Joel”. He mostly does long-form essays about media from a leftist perspective.
Adam Something I guess?
I’m usually going for neutral/objective channels instead of ones that come pre-loaded with an ideology.
Maybe “Type Ashton?” She takes a look every two weeks or so on an actual issue, and compares it between the US to Europe. From an American perspective rather leftist, I’d assume.
here are some of mine :3

anark makes video essays repackaging and building on theory of organised libertarian socialism. the videos are imo a great entry into that theory, but they also go quite deep. anark also has monthly lifestreams, a series about existing horizontalist projects, and a great series refuting authoritarian letism.
-
andrewism makes video essays critiquing capitalism, state and colonialsm, and advocating for the horizontal alternatives, in harmony with nature. the videos are more vibes based than theoretical, and are a good entry point to ideas they cover.
-
lily alexandre has some good video essays about gender, but they also make videos about internet culture from a lefty perspective.

is a really good one. She does a lot of research and primary source backed videos that are really good for education without being straight up depressing like a lot of things are.
otherwise there’s meanstv, a video platform coop that’s mostly leftists, but that’s a paid service
Also check out Pod Save America, and Weekly Show with John Stewart (absolutely brilliant long format political analysis).
FriendlyJordies on YT. Very sharp political commentator from Australia who is also a very funny comedian. Focuses a lot on Aussie politics, but it is highly educational and a lot of it translates to how politics is done in general, and shared problems among Western countries.
He helped unseat the deputy premier of New South Wales, uncovered corruption in the government and their connections with organized crime, had his home firebombed as a result, and was politically targeted by a anti-terror unit on behest of said deputy premier (John Barilaro), and he is a very active supporter for ecological restoration and wildlife preservation.
It is widely believed he played a major part in swinging the last election in favor of the Labor party.
But he is clearly most famous for this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXn62lUCIXo
George Galloway is about the only political YouTuber I follow, I don’t find it a great platform for politics.
I’ve heard good and bad things about him. I know he was the leader of the green party in Britain or the Labor party in Britain? Definitely left-wing/left-leaning. I’ve seen a video or two of his. Mostly short videos on Odysee.
He was a MP for the labour party some years ago, he currently leads the Workers Party of Britain https://www.workerspartygb.org/
DarkMatter2525. He used to talk about religion a lot but lately his content is political.
Not sure if PapaMeat qualifies as longform with videos from 25 to 40 minutes but he covers a wide variety of topics.
