Technically yes. The other hand speaks of Instagram (and similar sites) toying the “walled garden” scenario. A lemmy sentiment holds lemmy users to “it’s better here, we should consume better also”.
IMHO, Instagram can loophole a “view on web instead” as they wish. But experience says Meta\Instagram continuously use harsh anti-adblocking tactics that are exhausting – pushing user-end people to do the bad stuff (installing).
The true source was a tv show. But someone found a youtube link to the exact video. A slight slight lesser evil 😉.

Ew Facebook. Also, I like the acting in this show but I hate the other guests prancing around like it’s the funniest thing ever. This is pretty clearly to me a rehearsed bit that he was fed and the other guests running around and laughing like crazy is like a modern version of canned laughter or the guy on radio shows whose job is just to laugh at every joke.
Brennan Lee Mulligan is a master of his craft, and I love how often his bits crash into a political rant that actually holds together with the bit. I love that man.
Brennan and Dropout are both fantastic.
