I(M26) currently had been prescribed a new eye glasses to replace my current one with the following:

Right Eye:

  • Sphere=+3.5
  • Cylinder=-2.25

Left Eye:

  • Sphere=+4.25
  • Cylinder=-3.25

My life feels like hell, no glasses seem to give me a perfect vision and the whole thing is making me lose my mind. As it seems hopeless.

Is there is a solution or will my vision keep getting worse till I go blind?

The funniest part about this is op would have just literally talked to a qualified optometrist to get the new prescription…

But still felt it was better to ask uninformed people on the Internet for their opinions instead of the person who could actually answer the question

Did you just skip the “I had been prescribed” part?

You are laughing about me asking for people experiences in this?

No, that’s how I know you just talked to someone who’s actually qualified to answer the question…

You are laughing about me asking for people experiences in this?

I think it’s humourous that instead of asking the people qualified to answer, you’re asking random unqualified people to give an opinion with absolutely no where near enough information for them to actually make an informed guess.

Like, do you honestly not understand any of this?

It doesn’t really matter, go ask whoever prescribed you new glasses. That’s the best answer you’ll get here anyways.

              From your post:

I(M26) currently had been prescribed a new eye glasses to replace my current one with the following

              They can’t both be true.

But logic clearly isn’t working here, and it would be illogical to think it will.

So I’ll just randomly answer your question with the incredibly limited and contradictory information you have provided:

Yes, in 23 months you will go completely blind.

Asked my grandma for you and she said as long as you don’t masturbate you’ll be fine.

You need to talk to your optometrist.

If they don’t give you answers then find another optometrist.

Source: I have weird eyes and my first several optometrists were not particularly informative.

Go to an ophthalmologist if you haven’t yet, they are a real medical doctor eye specialist. Optometrists only deal with a few basics and while they screen for eye diseases, they mainly just measure and prescribe corrective lenses, they don’t give a diagnosis or prognosis.

BTW my eyes used to get more and more nearsighted over time until I got bifocals. They have a different prescription in the bottom part so when I read or do close up work my eyes aren’t fighting against a far vision Rx. If you read a lot or do a lot of close up stuff you might want to ask about that.

There are no glasses which give you perfect vision. They make you see but never will be near to 20/20 vision even if they are perfectly adjusted, the more your prescription goes up the less they will fix.
