Hey guys,

Our dishwasher conked out (pump died, it was about 15 years old). I’ve already repaired this thing a couple times and it’s not worth it now.

Are any reputable brands around anymore? Aren’t they all owned by whirlpool?

I’ll pay the extra money if it means longevity. Budget probably $1200 or so.

Any recommendations?

I bought a Bosch 800 series 6 years ago and love it. Bosch is a bit different from American style dishwashers. It has a screen that needs to be cleaned at least once a week. Also the heatless drying is fantastic. Mine is old enough that it doesn’t have Wi-Fi with certain features locked behind a cloud based app, which I find appallingly idiotic.

Just saying: There is a HomeConnect Local Integration for HomeAssistant.

Other than that: Bosch/Siemens (same brand) is solid. My washing machine moved over 22.000km with me by now…over 15 years…and works like a charm.
