Hey guys,

Our dishwasher conked out (pump died, it was about 15 years old). I’ve already repaired this thing a couple times and it’s not worth it now.

Are any reputable brands around anymore? Aren’t they all owned by whirlpool?

I’ll pay the extra money if it means longevity. Budget probably $1200 or so.

Any recommendations?

Yeah, this one parts are getting rare and I think a pump now is $300. Ive already fixed other things on it so im not sure its worth it. Plus it is a filter model so I have to clean it out all the time which is disgusting, and it doesnt dry hardly at all anymore which is annoying. And sometimes it just runs shitty and I jave to run it twice to get random weird grime off the dishes that it sprays out.

And if I have to remove it from its hole anyways, thats an ass ton of work, so im not putting it back in!

Fair enough. $300?! Yikes! For that amount you ought to be able to get a whole new dishwasher. Or maybe not, I’m not sure how much the tariffs have jacked up prices in that area.
