For the most part options I see with AI are just more of the same kind of abuse we already had. Maybe it makes it a bit easier or harder to identify as fake, but isn’t anything you couldn’t already do with other methods.
With AI, you can completely automatically research a person’s life, analyze, where they are especially emotionally vulnerable, create a deep fake of a person close to them and manipulate them into giving you money.
Without AI, that would take a scammer days. And they still wouldn’t be as good at pretending they are a loved one.
Those same tools can also, just as easily be used for voter manipulation.
And we don’t even know yet what other creative ideas people will come up with
