The horse is a show horse trained to wear costumes that has been performing for years, at least according to the article I found last night. No mention anywhere I could find of the horse refusing to let them take the costume off, however the horse is very cute so I’m willing to negotiate on suspending my innate dislike of horses just this once.

If the horse doesn’t want to take off the headpiece, that usually means that it’s not finished eating the food that the owner put into the headpiece in order to get the horse to stick its head in there.
