I had a dog as a kid that would howl along with candlebox and collective soul every time my mom put it on.

So whole it may not be a common trait, it is definitely there in some animals. I don’t know why you’re getting so much hate

  • None of the pets I’ve ever owned, current ones included, have even seemed to recognize music. The closest things any of my pets have done to show they even acknowledge something from a speaker or display, is when my husky sees or hears a dog on TV.

They don’t even react the same to hearing my voice through the phone the way they do in person. If I start talking while in the same room, they wag their tails super hard. If i talk to them over the phone, they don’t even acknowledge my voice. 😮‍💨

Daisy and Rose prefer classical music.

Leo doesn’t care what music we play as long as we occasionally drop food.

My late cat would attack me whenever I played Also Sprach Zarathustra on the stereo. The kitten and the dog attack me whenever I play the flute. Everything else seems to be fine.
