I don’t know about creoles but with dialects in my experience it mixes the standard language, the dialect I use with it and other dialects. Probably confusing that they all use the same writing system and have some common vocab.

Cockroaches. It was bad. They were everywhere. You couldn’t open a door without them falling from the cracks in the doorframe on your face.
Boric acid is what helped as recommended by reddit. We used to clean, and spray with Pyrethrins before that but that only kills the visible ones. Most of the roaches are in their holes and you’ll never reach them like that.
What’s great about boric acid is that it kills slowly meaning they can infect each other before they die in a chain reaction. They infect even the hidden ones when they go groom each other.
So clean the area, dry it, then just spread the powder where they usually hang out. It’ll take a week to notice any effects. Apply again if area gets wet.
Another great thing is unless you ingest a huge amount or inhale it in your lungs, boric acid is mostly safe for humans. Unlike the sprays which always gave us symptoms.
Thread necromancer should be a Halloween costume
You still can if you come back in 5 years
Me neither, but someone commented here it’s a holdover from the days of forums where a new reply to an old thread would instantly put that thread at the top of the forums because the order was always latest reply. This was found annoying by some people especially if the new reply was short and meaningless or something. Makes more sense to me now.
I feel like it’s always been like that. Did the mods give you a reason for removing your post?
By reddit standards maybe. I’ll tell you though I am always delighted whenever I recognize a user from another thread.
Fair point
There’s only one forum I visit nowadays and it gets older threads revived every now and then. Usually to say “Whatever happened to that? Is it done yet?”
Oh I didn’t know that! I didn’t grow up on forums but I used them a few times here and there. You’re right new replies do push a thread to the top. Kind of a bad design lol.
I do too! I mean notifications of replies are always a shot of dopamine no matter how old.
That reminds me there’s this dude who replied to a pic I posted with “Can use this as an album cover?” I said sure and he said “Cool see me in a year”. I replied a year later “How’s that album coming along?” and was like “give me another year” lol. It’s almost been two years now. Gonna check in again soon.
Oh like dark souls lol.
God knows there aren’t many new threads on lemmy so I’ve been searching random keywords looking for interesting old threads to read and sometimes comment on.
I think people call it deadposting. I’ve heard someone be like “Sorry for deadposting” so I thought if they’re apologizing it must be frowned upon.
I do that thing too
Helps with counting syllables
Thanks for earworm, Jack
Is it a public or private university?
That’s the best kind of pain in the ass :D
Proof?
Sounds made up ngl
I said this before but we need an internet friend finding community like r/makenewfriendshere and r/needafriend
Oh yeah it understood me too, but its reply was a weird mix of dialect and non dialect
