It’s more like if someone took images of you and referencing millions of images of people with similar bodies and proportions to you derived a facsimile of what you might look like naked. AI is not comparable to drawing. AI is not a pencil or a paint brush. It is an algorithm and a model. No part of AI is art. What they did was turn their classmates, their peers, into objects of sexual gratification without their consent. And then shared those things with others. It’s a horrific violation of their classmates dignity and humanity.

And yeah I think that drawing your classmates naked and sharing your drawings with others is also disgusting sexual harassment. That should also result in legal consequences.
