not trying to victim blame you here, your experience is absolutely valid and you shouldn’t have to worry about these things but the reality is the ideal change is too costly, so the only alternative is the collective understanding that we don’t give the trolls what they want and eventually they leave.

It’s hard to tell who is a troll and who is an extremist when there are entire instances run by tankies like Lemmy.ml and Hexbear.
