The HTTP response times are sometimes a little rough, but the team has managed to keep up a large part of the fediverse for the past few years. It’s impressive, and I’m happy that I ended up chosing lemmy.world after migrating from lemmy.ml.
I joined Lemmy back in 2020 and have been using it as @[email protected] until somewhere in 2023 when I switched to lemmy.world. I’m interested in systemd/Linux, FOSS, and Selfhosting.

F# is a decent introduction into functional programming. You can use .NET libraries and occasionally fall back to imperative code when needed.
I’ve seen a video of someone building a text recognition algorithm that predicts the numbers of drawn digits. I’ve also seen someone run a Minecraft-like game inside of Minecraft.

I’ve personally started creating my new communities on other instances to spread it out more. You create an alt on a fitting and reliable instance, create it there and then give control to your main account. My latest community is on mander.xyz.
It is not. The source is linked in the post.
I knew it was a problem on same instances but didn’t know it also affected lemmy.world <-> sh.itjust.works. I’ve had issue with this in the past and have a large amount of alt accounts for this purpose. I’ve also created lemmy-know to automatically check reports from various accounts. There is a Docker image available if you’re still looking for a way to avoid having to check them all manually.
Mag ik vragen waarom je voor Signal hebt gekozen i.p.v. Matrix, aangezien dat vaak gebruikt wordt op Lemmy?
Why would they do that?
That seems a bit extreme
I suspect Hetzner since they specifically mentioned Germany and not a region like “eu-west” like other hosting providers such as Azure.
AFAIK it stores the notes as .md
and an index in it’s own proprietary format, which is mostly an issue because the index won’t be encrypted if you encrypt the notes.
Doesn’t logseq store the notes as .md
files? There is a directory named pages which contained them last time I checked
I saw you picked SurrealDB, what has been your experience with that so far?
There are glitch tokens but I think those only effect it when using it.
I think the issue is that the scrapers are fully automatically collecting text, jumping from link to link like a search engine indexer.
Yes, except that you won’t see the reports on your other account and will have to periodically check your moderator accounts.
