I hate the guy, but if you get a Ph.D. in a lot of other fields, you don’t need a license, and you’re still a doctor. I’d argue that if you got the degree, you can be called a doctor. Obviously not a practicing one, but I think you should still have the title.
Again, I hate “Dr.” Phil and would be happy if I never saw his face again.
