“Boomer shooter” is the latest term to follow the likes of “Roguelike” or “Soulslike” in the realm of hyperspecific gaming subgenres. It applies to first-person shooters that intentionally harken back to the classic PC games of the late ‘90s like Doom and Quake.
I’m looking for shooters to catch up more to the 6th gen style. I miss 007: Agent Under Fire with moon gravity and Q Claw. I miss Halo. I miss Metal Arms. I miss split-screen and LAN multiplayer.

Oh my god, Q Claw! You brought back many memories. Although I liked Nightfire more, there was something special about Agent Under Fire.
