      Btw the other way you can do it (which will only be noticeable to users with screen readers) is to put the alt text between the square brackets.

        Really? I appreciate your support, but that was the worst thing I could come up with quickly. I say that as someone who uses dark mode across the board, including solid black backgrounds and wallpapers. Should I have used dark brown text on a light blue background?

          Light level is the problem I have. I don’t need every single sub pixel outputting all of its light on every inch of the screen all the time. A flat black background with contrasting letters is ideal to me. I’m okay with sacrificing readability of the text for ease on the eyes.
