Twitch is testing a new way to experience ads when you pause a stream. But viewers aren't happy about the change.

    Basically stopped watching twitch bwcause of the stupid fucking unskippable ads… and I’m glad i did, I’m never going back, fuck them and their bs ads. Much more free time :)

    ublock origin/twitch ad solutions on desktop, xtra or twire on mobile (for android, at least). either solution blocks ads for good.

    That’s gonna take a whopping 10 lines of userscript to defeat, hell I already had to use one to stop them from dropping the video quality when unfocused (so I could watch streams in PiP properly)

    Yeah a website should not be able to tell where I am looking at or if my audio is muted or not.

            This API can be used to suggest users take breaks if they’ve been using a site for a long time.

            The exact same API exists in desktop environments; it’s just part of the progressive OS-ification of the web.
