      “Matrix” is the protocol.

      The equivalent is ActivityPub, not discord, fluxer or stoat.

      The Fediverse isn’t federated.

      All those clients are ActivityPub, not say some Twitter, some Facebook, some Bluesky, etc.

      How is that different?
