I’ve often wondered…people who drive those huge pickup trucks, does being in the vehicle somehow turn you into an obnoxious, aggressive douchebag, or do you have to take a personality test at the dealership?
I spent a dozen years managing auto service centers from '87-'99. Chevrolet Z-71 owners were by far the biggest dickheads I had to deal with on a daily basis. Back then, Ford and Dodge truck owners were all just fairly normal folks, but something about those Z-71’s seemed to attract the most extreme shitwillies…
And now “shitwilly” is in my vocab. Beautiful.

That’s what the personality test is for. Or better yet, they grade you during the test drive. You can score lower rates or discounts depending on how many other drivers you cut off, tailgate, or hi beam. Heck, if you manage to run a Prius off the road you get the truck for free and a hundred bucks!
I heard a radio segment about this but it was about expensive/premium brands like BMW, Audie and Ferrari. Apparently it’s a very psychological thing where driving an expensive car makes you feel entitled and you start driving like a douche, even if you know it will happen to you. This was many many years ago so I do not remember his name so do what you will with the info. But I do think there can be some truth in it, because power do corrupt and we have seen that happened many times. But I think you do need to have a special mindset to buy those huge trucks if you only drive them on asphalt.
But I can imagine looking down on everyone and taking up a lot of space makes them feel special/better than the rest.

Axle height is directly related to tire size which means it’s easily readable. Therefore, iy would be easy to create a chart or graph.
