    So according to the abrahamic texts Angels are spiritual immortal beings created by god to carry out his bidding, they never held a normal mortal body at any point.

    It was not until the late 18th century that the idea of the dead becoming angels upon arrival in heaven was widely adopted, often attributed to the writings of Emanuel Swedenborg who wrote such and claimed to be the christ’s divinely inspired reformist.

    With that preface in mind, a ghost is a haunting on earth and an angel is somebody who passed on to another plane of existence (specifically the good place).
