Where did you go in Texas?

I hate Texas too, but that’s because I spent the grand majority of my life there. The food is good at least.

It was over 20 years ago so you’ll have to forgive some lapses and memory for me, but we rented a car and we were in houston, austin, san antonio then we drove south to do some exploration and hiking.

Maybe I’m being a little dramatic saying I hated it, but there was so little for me to enjoy it felt like a massive disappointment. The little culture I did bump into seemed very forced & disingenuous. So many of the people I met were superficially nice, but hayseed ignoramii

Can’t really blame ya for that take, Texas is a real evil place. There are some funky spots around Houston if you go looking for them like the Orange Show. San Antonio does have beautiful historical buildings, the Aztec Theater which is a great venue, and the most soulless monsters you’ll ever meet. Austin used to be extremely fun and weird before it became a knock off Silicone Valley.

Hope you got some enchiladas and a kolache.
