My other vehicle has similar controls with buttons for defrosters. That image is from a Miata so the cab is the size of a small box anyway. The vent dial does have the option for front defrost and under dash vents at the same time(dual arrows). In that tiny car that’s air in your face from the defrost and air on your feet. Works great for me.
I want to set my hvac to a temp and let it sort out whether it should heat or cool.
That’s what I have and it’s basically just as simple. So anything beyond these two things…nope.
The only complaint I have with this is that you can’t control which vents are open when you turn on front defrost. I prefer a button for each vent.
