One of my personal rules had to become “don’t take it apart unless it broken”. My wife hates that everyone brings me stuff to fix or explore. I’ll be trying to get into the remote and heart monitor connected to my death bed.

    I agree on the slow and steady, unless you like doing things over again. For your last one I’ve figured out fighting nature is hard, and usually unsustainable. Be it human nature, or mother nature.

      Oh my last rule was more to the point of when trying to open or remove something to never force it open or apart, lest you risk breaking or damaging the part. A small amount of effort should be okay, but if it still doesn’t “give”, look to see why (maybe you missed a screw or there is a latch or hook you missed).

      But you’re absolutely right about Human/Mother Nature. It is what it is, and it’s usually better to work with it and not against it.
