That’s uh German for uh… Thee Bart, Thee.
Juror: well no one who speaks German could be evil!
It’s actually der Bart, not die. 🤓
Dad joke level unlocked!
This is why Moe Szyslak hates Bart.
“I’m looking for Amanda Hugginkiss. Does anyone know where I can find Amanda Hugginkiss?”
Was probably dissin’ his fly girl.
Kill Bart! Kill Bart!
Kill, Bart! Kill, Bart! Why are the Germans trying to kill Bay Area Rapid Transit?
Because it sucks as a government owned entity and deserves to die for its trespasses against the citizenry at large.
Honestly the 3-5min behind schedule average did it. Germans can’t stand it when they’re late. Ruins their whole little day.
If you complained to most Germans about an S-Bahn system with an average delay of 4 min, they’d think you’re Swiss - according to the German railway statistics, any delay less than 5 minutes and 59 seconds counts as ‘on time’
But that’s only for now. Privatization did a lot of damage to the infrastructure because it wasn’t maintained properly since long term isn’t a priority in a for-profit organization. But the Deutschland Takt will make everything work great again once it’s implemented in 2070.
The bar in Bart is cognate of bin/ben in Arabic/Hebrew. It features not just in Aramaic but Nabatean Arabic which was heavily influenced by Aramaic.
Was in SF BART transit system and someone with a knife was running around like this. Soooo… Pretty accurate.
Oh, well no one who speaks German could be evil.
No no, my name is Bort.
Bortender: what’ll you have?
Could you please sing the entire score of the HMS Pinafore?
Where’s the sound?!
Can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this but it’s always good for a chuckle. I look forward to forgetting it and seeing it pop up again in a few months.
Actually, it’s Sideshow Bob who says “Die Bart Die!”. The bartender is named Moe Szyslak
/s
Bob had it tattooed, didn’t he?
That’s right! Thanks for the correction
I always thought it was a question…
Bartender?
Nah, it’s kinda tough.Ouch.
The reference scene roughly translates as “The Beard-ess, the -ess” as in calling the beard a female object.
