To be clear, this isn’t a case of conservatives overreacting to a missing cat. This is a case of conservatives inventing a racist story to scare people.
The media has gone way out of its way to find stories that sound similar, but are completely unrelated - and it’s just more sane washing.

My cat hates everyone, regardless of species, race or fur color.
That tracks. One of mine hates delivery people, squirrels, anyone wearing shoes, and the other cats.
He is cool with moths, but he wants them to fly into his mouth so I’m not sure that’s entirely OK with the moths.
