I just wanna share that I am happy with how the lemmy and beehaw are. Smaller comunities but when I post or comment I get meaningfull awensers and talks. Despite the mentioned size I get responses quicker then I did on reddit and it generally feels like more alive place, I can feel like folks are here for a reason. :3

What are yall feelings about it?

I like that Beehaw is smaller. It reminds me more of an old web forum, which are the days I really miss.

It does seem nice here. The only thing I’m a little uncertain of is the restriction on Community creation, but the staff seem to be very responsive to requests so that’s probably okay.

I like it so far as well. Once some apps get more fleshed out, that will be the next step. Figuring out which one I like most for browsing!

Small instances are like small towns, almost villages. You know everybody and everybody knows you, which makes things easier to stay and harder when you need/have to leave. But good vibes are everywhere, and interactions area abundant.

I hope that Lemmy and Kbin (as services) will have many millions of users. But I also hope that no instance will have more than one million users, or even more than one hundred thousand users.

I think it’s nice to actually have human-scale communities. On reddit, you never or rarely ever talked with a person - you know?

I’m not on Beehaw, but I feel the same. The interaction feels much more “real” here, for now.

We really are here for a reason! We got to pick an instance after all, and this is where we want to be because it resonates with us. That’ll surely lead to a tighter friendlier place!

    Pretty much perfect!
