I dunno. Sounds pretty good to me

Technology@lemmy.world•One In Five Drivers Switches Off The Safety Tech Meant To Save Their LivesEnglish
91·24 天前I had my Tesla slam on its brakes from 55 mph because it was convinced the car sitting at a stop sign at a crossroad was about to turn into my lane. Last time I trusted Autopilot in anything other than stop-and-go traffic. Not really in a hurry to find out if the Ioniq I have now does it any better.
Give me fully autonomous vehicles on roads where human drivers aren’t allowed, or let me keep control, thank you very much.
I worked for a company 20 years ago that happens to share a title with a major software package that is specific to a completely different industry.
I’ll routinely get recruiters reaching out to me about entry level positions using the software package and they’ll send two or three follow up emails without ever checking if their minimum effort keyword search result is actually an appropriate fit.
Hearing that they’re dropping interest on the third email would be an improvement over what I get to deal with.
ETA - Didn’t even notice the time stamps. I’d take a dozen of these over the LinkedIn drones I hear from
Who the hell is bringing their DL mistress to a family barbecue? If she’s there, there is no stinking way his wife doesn’t know about it.
If the wife doesn’t approve of it then yeah, he’s pressing the self destruct button on his marriage and bringing drama into a space it doesn’t belong, but I think it’s way more likely she knows what’s up and is cool with it.
It’s crazy they won’t cover that. My girlfriend flew herself and a friend to Turkey a few years ago and paid for hotel stays and it still ended up being cheaper to have her reduction done there than it would have been for her to do it state-side
I really enjoyed the game, but I may have just gotten lucky with the timing. I wanted a slower paced decision-making game.
I do think the game would benefit hugely from a Quickplay and/or Challenge mode. The combat was a blast once it got going. That’s the biggest thing keeping me from replaying it

18·2 个月前Steam could, but it would be an extremely dangerous decision. One of their biggest competitive advantages is they they break users out of the console generation gaps.
Why buying a Steam Deck with all my old games (to say nothing of emulators) was more appealing than a Switch 2.

92·2 个月前I feel bad for the studios that are facing uncertainty in this situation, but I’m selfishly relieved. This is the only way I’m going to get to play State of Decay 3 and the new Senua game, if they can secure a publisher and complete development. There is zero chance I will buy another Xbox unless there’s a colossal restructure of the market in the next generation, and there’s no way I’m going back to Windows.

Can we please stop posting headlines from Kalshi and Polymarket like they are news organizations?
They only do it to draw more people in to gamble with money they can’t lose right now.

“Some Steam games”… If you look at it from a console gamer’s perspective, Steam’s back catalog is colossal. I have over 1000 games going back to the Half Life 2 days.
I haven’t looked at the specs for the Steam Machines, but I doubt they’re worse than a Switch 2 or an Xbox Series S. Modern AAA games already have to account for modest reference platforms. At least these don’t have all the bloat of a Windows machine.

He’s also a fantastic audiobook narrator. I was entranced by his reading of The Water Dancer
