Now we know why Open AI’s board fired him. Honestly can’t fault them. If Altman was going to leave with key staff anyway, why don’t just fire him? Its a lost cause.
- That’s uncharacteristically sloppy reporting from The Observer. No indication as to who the source of this allegation is. 
- It doesn’t say the new venture was a competitor. People like Altman (and the rest of the board) start other companies all the time. Altman literally runs YCombinator already. This article is just bad. 
- Removed by mod - What an absolutely disrespectful comment about someone that attended Dartmouth’s engineering school, worked at Goldman Sachs, an aerospace engineering contractor, Tesla, a tech startup that had a successful exit, and has been the CTO of OpenAI for 5 years. Somehow none of that matters because while she was able to do all that, she also might have given birth to and raised a child? - I think you need to reevaluate how you see the world. - K
