(Sung of course to the tune of the Winehouse classic Amy, Amy, Amy)

Chloe, Chloe, Chloe

We saved you from being interred

Now you’re out eating a turd

I yell but you are undeterred

Came up with that in the shower on Monday. We recently adopted an eight year old golden retriever with severe anxiety issues who was scheduled to be put down.

Her old dad died a couple of years ago and she never got over it. My wife Amy (double bonus song reference, although she doesn’t appreciate me renaming her song) thought giving her a hard reset in a new home might work.

And it has, she is fantastic, and even my cats like her.

We were all prepared for an anxious dog and got standard Labrador problems instead!

      We are very lucky there.

Our youngest cat, Maryjane, is the enforcer. Any new animals in the house get hassled by her until they meet her standards.

Doesn’t matter how unruly the dog is, she will patiently hiss and bat at them until they chill a bit.
