I like dogs, I just don’t like owning dogs. I don’t want to have to be personally involved every time my pet needs to use the bathroom. And dog doors aren’t an option because our cats aren’t allowed outside, and are smarter than our dogs.
And you are the right type of non dog owner. You understand the responsibility in owning a dog and say “nope, haven’t got time for that”. I know plenty of dog owners that really should have said the same thing.

And cat doors aren’t an option because they would either runaway or terrorize the local ecosystem or both, and are not always open to love or affection like our dogs.

You don’t have to scoop! Automatic litter boxes are awesome.
