Wooooowwwww. It’s being used for exactly what said it would be~

I know a lot if us are not even surprised the least, but i hope some of the head-in-the-sand naysayer motherfuckers wake up and learn something.

When they say the images wont leave your computer. Its because they converted it to facial geometry. They dont want the images because they take too much storage.

When they say they will delete it after processing, processing includes sending a copy to whoever else theyve agreed to share it with. Palantir, im sure here, maybe through an intermediary data broker.

I deleted my discord account immediately when the news of this face-check-age-check broke

More and more things we give away because parents can’t be bothered to parent their kids. This is exactly how they win by slowly chiseling away our perceived rights until there is nothing left. I’ll certainly not participate in any Internet that requires me to shed my anonymity.

Okay, this has nothing to do with parents parenting their kids. It has 100% to do with the perception that the internet is dangerous and using that perception to collect information about people. That’s what they want, to put a name and face to all interpersonal interactions so they can use them for marketing and law enforcement.

Social media converted half of Americans into nazis in about a decade and elected Trump twice. If you don’t think the internet is dangerous, you’re not paying attention.

That said, it’s easy to keep kids off instagram and TikTok without spying. Simply require devices to which children have access to be sold without access to half the internet. Problem solved.

They’ve been telling “It’s for the kids” but it all makes sense now

To scramble and divide any organized communication just like they did Twitter and other social media.

Making the move to matrix, and hey it isn’t half bad. Convenience is a hard habit to break

Convenience as in “it’s what I’ve always used and I understand it” or are you noticing some awkward aspects?
