Twenty-plus years ago, when laser eye surgery was new, I thought for a minute about getting it. Then I thought, we’re not going to really know the long-term effects until a long term has passed, and people getting it today might regret doing this as they get older. So, I didn’t get it.
I’m not saying I was right, I’m saying that at any given point in time, I cannot predict the future, and that I’ve been happy enough wearing glasses. Especially that time my glasses saved me from losing an eye, and probably kept crap from flying into my eyes more times than I have even noticed.
From what I was told, you are supposed to wait since your eye keeps changing until your mid 30s or so. That being said, I knew a girl that had it done in her home country (China) and she said they fucked up and she had constant headaches. Granted, it was in China about 15 years ago so the tech is much better now, especially here.
I’m still waiting as well though but mostly out of laziness. I’m pretty used to just wearing glasses. I’d probably miss them at this point.

Hahaha, four eyes! Hey everyone… look at four eyes over here. What a nerd!

I have heard the biggest risk of the surgery is basically “permanent” dry eyes. Might not sound like a big deal but to me it sounds like torture.
