We need laws that make it illegal to actually be a Nazi (and to codify supporting Nazis as criteria of being one).

If you have a provable track record of doing things that are textbook Nazi, that should either be a capital crime, or loss of basic rights (aka, people can assault you at any time with no repercussions).

That is a very specific thing that is honestly weird there isn’t a law about. There isn’t a single good thing to say about any of them. They’re never beneficial to anyone in any way beyond furthering their cause, and there’s nothing positive to say about that cause.

We need to naturally select them out of our continued evolution.

While I agree in principle, in practice policies like that end up backfiring. In this case the Nazi’s have taken over responsibility for enforcing the anti-nazi laws and wouldn’t you know it, the actual victims are the Nazi’s gosh darn it. It’s the anti-fascists who are the real fascist by preventing the fascist from the right to express their facism.

In France it’s forbidden and I don’t think we have less freedom than you do. Basically in Frace you cannot say you’re nazi, you cannot promote Hitler and the 3rd reich, cannot have any nazi symbols, and cannot create or join nazi groups.

I got my first Reddit suspension for saying that, many years ago. That’s when I understood that Reddit was a-okay with Nazis.
