To entirely automated banning or hidding accounts.

I would oppose that, and I doubt Rimu would do that.

They should but again if it’s downvoting things the admin dislikes already they won’t care.

Then the instance would find itself defederated I suspect.

This is the system he’s building and saying he wants!

I haven’t seen Rimu say he wants to bring in automatic bans or hiding of accounts who reach a reputational threshold.

Defederated because they downvote what the admins already hate.??

Defederated from other instances. The admin’s instance would be defederated by other instances for supporting it.

If he doesn’t want it he really needs to redo the join page cause it screams act as I wish or be punished

Again only if it’s downvoting things the admins like

The bit you’re referring doesn’t say anything about an autobanning system planned.

Again only if it’s downvoting things the admins like

I don’t think you get this.

If say, lemmy.sdf.org admins encourages its own users to go and mass-downvote users on, say, lemmy.blahaj.zone - what do you think the likely outcome is for lemmy.sdf.org reputationally on the fediverse?

Based on shit just works and certain users absolutely nothing unless it’s against things that make the democratic party look good.

I’m not even being hypocritical it’s things that have happened specifically because people were/are angry when they learned lemmy was made by communists.

Hence why people see certain parts of piefed as being censoring as it’s some of the worst parts of reddit being brought back

No, it explains the logic behind the reputation system. The purpose is as I said, to isolate trolls, which 9/10 they absolutely are.

Are the admins of shi.itjust.works specifically openly encouraging and endorsing mass vote manipulation of users or communities on other instances? Or are individuals doing it on their own?

No it’s saying do this or else. There are many better ways to detect trolls then this, it’s just a flawed way to try an encourage specific behavior.

There are mods and comms designed to do it with admins doing nothing as it targets those they don’t care about about. (ie it’s okay because it just targets the evil users of ml like cowbee)

                  https://lemmy.world/modlog?page=1&actionType=All&userId=86080

Lemmy world admins and mods have done it for users they called trolls who were just posting news they didn’t want to see. Hell they specifically worked out a way to avoid taking action on the mod that was doing stuff like that because the mod was willing to do it

What ways would you suggest to isolate trolls?

                    Jordan Lund wasn’t downvote trolling.

Goat is one user. For comparison, do you have an example of someone on the opposite side, or downvoting en masse or drama-baiting for different causes?

Moreover, I would submit that a user downvoting a lot and getting repeatedly banned from other communities and instances for it is quite different to an instance specifically organising downvote raids comprised of multiple users and alt accounts. Does Goat load up alt accounts to downvote?
