Reached chapter 4 in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.
Reached 4 members, but can only have 3 in party at a time. And the ones that aren’t in active party only get half of the experience. This is one of my biggest pet peeves. It means I am never going to switch to other party members.
Either don’t have a system where some people are sitting out on a bench, or at least have a way for them to stay properly leveled.
No complaints other than that.
Dropped Garage (Garage: Bad Trip on other platforms) on Switch.
The game was fun for the first half, but after multiple difficulty spikes, eventually it becomes more of a puzzle game learning about enemy placement then anything else. Which is somewhat a part of this genre, but it stopped being fun for me. So, dropped the game.
My recommendation: The game is still worth a try if you like these kind of games, but if you haven’t played any game in this “top-down Hotline Miami like” genre (or whatever it is actually called) don’t start with this.
Started Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze as my new secondary game. Got it on the recent sale.
I have played the first 3 Donkey Kong Country games, 2 of them last year, but the control / movement in this feels a bit heavier. DK doesn’t seem to jump as high, and holding the secondary button doesn’t seem to increase the speed (other than initial boost). It just feels different.
As for difficulty I have only reached the second world, but have already died a few times. Fortunately have tons of lives and they keep increasing so that isn’t a big issue for now, but this is a first DKC game I am playing without save states, so let’s see.
Also there are couple of levels in the first world that I can’t get to, I am assuming I would need to replay the previous level and find different exit for that, but haven’t tried that yet.
Having fun though.
What about all of you? What have you been playing and/or plan to play?

Disney Illusion Island on Switch 2. The game play is fun, but a little repetitive. The story and dialog are funny.
Well, it isn’t a very long game, so hopefully won’t become too repetitive.
