The West has been obsessed with toppling the Iranian government since 1979. All their claims about concern for human rights are exposed as lies by their support for the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine. It is hegemony and they can’t accept a government that is not subservient to their ambitions in the region.
And a regime that gives gay people the death sentence and murders protestors ist any better? Iran needs a government that doesn’t suck up to the US but also treats it’s citizens well. It isn’t black and white where you either defend the current regime or support a US controlled one. You can have neither.
The West is executing thousdsnds of little children by sniping them in the head. If you want to actually seriously do the moral comparison then yes Iran is better.
