Cause then they maul your hand when you pet their belly :(

Can confirm
Cat yoga pose #4, upward-facing blender.
Cats are very interesting
When my cat does this it means “I feel safe around you but don’t you fucking dare and touch me”
I get to bury my face in two cat bellies. I’m so lucky.
Yeah, this is my cat’s fight-play stance. Because he knows we can’t resist the urge to come over and give him some light head and face strokes when he’s laying like this. And at that point he’s like “ALRIGHT! IT’S FUCKING ON!” And he starts grabbing the hand with his paws and mouth.
“Lets play until I go too far and then feel bad!”
“Lets play until I go too far and
thenyou feel bad!”FTFY
Oh no, my cat immediately starts apology purring and licking if she bites or scratches during playtime.
That seems like a nice feature. Maybe I can update the firmware on mine.
You just have the asshole model it doesn’t support this feature only extreme yowling and couch clawing
Ottering is 100% ocular manipulation
Would 100% risk grievous bodily harm to pet the belly.
I’m lucky to have 2 cats who both like to get belly pets.
Both of mine will allow belly rubs, but hate being picked up and will never sit on your lap. I wouldn’t have minded more of a mix of preferences.
My old cat used to love belly rubs. I miss her so much.
My new cat is really young. We’re still working on it with her.
With my cats the belly rub appreciation came with age. At 2 years old it was all playful teeth and claws, but after 8 years or so it is 100% belly rubs and cuddles.
You must be living in heaven
My calico does this when she wants belly rubs unlimited belly rubs… I think my cat is broken
We have a tuxedo cat, too, and he pulls off the same thing. Murderous stare and everything.
My Jack Russell Terrier does this too. It’s good for unlimited free belly rubs.
Your Jack Russel terrier probably doesn’t attack you when you give it belly rubs.
Nope but what’s a little blood between pals?
My cat knows it, it’s the pose she takes when she wants me to give her dinner early.
Of course they do, that’s why they do it.
It’s “I feel safe and can relax” not “I’m trying to manipulate you” uwu
There is a theory that cats evolved the sound of their miaowing to trigger the same part of the human brain that reacts to a baby’s crying. Manipulative little fucks.
