Tasselhoff is the most lapiest of cats I have ever had. She is incapable of avoiding my lap if I’m in my chair. Yet she won’t sleep in the bed. Only my lap in my chair.
The character she is named after had a knife called Rabbitslayer. Unknown to him and everyone else in the book this knife would always find its way back to him. Very handy if you are a kinder that tends to misplace things through chronic distractability.
Anyway. She always finds her way back to my lap.

That is a lovely cat and a brilliant name.
Of the three kittens she was the most fearless and curious. It seemed like a fitting name. As an adult though, she has lost all of her curiosity and fearlessness. She is the only cat that doesn’t know how to use the cat door and I don’t think she cares.
