In the case of Boomers they happened to be born at the same time as a ton of other people, so they became the most influencial voting block (and later the wealthiest voting block because of the political influence) but of course many boomers are absolutely struggling financially, getting screwed over by the same ladder pulling that younger folks are getting screwed over them
But as you say, they are the wealthiest generation ever. And based on who is voted in and policy made (at least in my country), they very much don’t want to share that wealth.
My parents are a part of that struggling generation, so I know first hand it’s not all
