minus-square[object Object]@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·edit-21 hour agoThere’s some nuance in that a) I treat US politics as entertainment for the last ten years — seeing Trump crush over Mamdani, are you kidding, it’s top kek; b) I like to know the zeitgeist on the platform where I spend time; and c) US politics are in almost every major community anyway, regardless of its topic — just like on Reddit. I wouldn’t mind not seeing twenty posts about Peter Whatshisname Kegsbreath missile-ing Venezuelan fishermen. I got it the first time.

Block those communities if you don’t want to see them. They won’t be hurt because they won’t know.
There’s some nuance in that
