I’m not sure how much impact Mamdani would have as mayor on this, but it does seem that he would be the type to do what he could to get Santos arrested, and Santos seeing the writing on the wall has decided to GTFO before that happens.
He’s leaving because NY is planning to arrest him for additional crimes that are unpardonable.
Expecting him to relocate to Texas and running for one of the new gerrymandered seats there. I wish I was joking.
