Featuring 21 distinct waterfalls, this hike is considered by many to be the best waterfalls hike in the eastern United States. As such it is an incredibly popular trail so plan accordingly. As an added bonus, you’ll pass by some old growth tree sections while hiking. An absolute must do if nearby.

Water bounces down the cascading falls with some fallen trees in front of it. Lush forest surrounds.

Short, wide waterfall that has split into two, with the path running along beside it on the left.

Interesting edge line of the short waterfall as the ledge appears to turn upwards and is then undercut after. Channels carve there way into this ledge.

Looking upstream to Ricketts falls with the stream leading towards the camera.

Side view of Reynolds Falls, which has an overhang and ledge that lets you walk up to it. With more water flow you’ll be behind the falls.

Ha, get ready for a few more you’ve done then! Was headed towards Ithaca after this, which was such a pretty area. Did Lucifer falls, Buttermilk falls and Watkins glen nearby. Was staying at Taughannock falls state, but somehow managed to not find the time to hike it like a dummy while there. They’ll be showing up in a day or two.
