Not sure when they’re referring to, but pre-legalization prices (in the U.S. at least) were very different than they are today.
The last time I made a purchase was a long time ago, but even then I was kind of blown away by how cheap even good weed had gotten compared to the early 2000s. I can’t imagine schwag prices have somehow remained fixed, but circa 2004 a quarter of schwag (usually a few buds full of seeds and a big stem in the middle) was about $25.
Then there was (somehow) even lower tier schwag that was like buying a big mystery bag full of mostly stems and seeds with shake and bits of flower stuck to some of the stems. But it was like a giant ziplock bag for ~$20 or less so it seemed like a “great deal.” Like the T-Rex burger of weed.
Teenage stoner me wouldn’t have had $30 dollars to spend on that… if i did I was buying another g.
That’s why I loved cheap schwag. Get a stuffed full quart ziplock for $60.
you pay 60 for schwag? not sure how much a quart ziplock holds, but oz’s of schwag are like $18 here…
