in maga times, its only and solely grifting now. see which one can podcast better and compete with the likes of shapiro, tucker, crowder, loomer, poole, etc, you know you made it when russia is paying your services in that area. they never boasts about Higher ed they hate it and almost always called i liberal propaganda indoctrination centers , maybe the rich ones do, also being religiously and conservatives makes them incompitable with higher education in non-religious areas. when i was in CComunity, our genreral college bio teacher said she had a student that was answering every question as “GOD” and she spoke with that student and said she likely wasnt going to continue higher education because of it, contradicting her beliefs.

Ok, true and thats always been behind the veil of conservatism but is that what they will tell their children?

      What virtue will they signal?

Will they abandon the actual tools they need to build a modern society?

Pretty much just racism. Replace “colored man” with the minority of the day and there you go.

If you can convince the lowest white man he’s better than the best colored man, he won’t notice you’re picking his pocket. Hell, give him somebody to look down on, and he’ll empty his pockets for you.

Usually veiled in religion. Also the American dream, work your way up instead of investing into education.

To look at a historical analogue:

The system of government was formed whereby leading Nazi officials were forced to interpret Hitler’s speeches, remarks and writings on government policies and turn them into programs and legislation. Hitler typically did not give written orders; instead he communicated them verbally, or had them conveyed through his close associate, Martin Bormann. He entrusted Bormann with his paperwork, appointments, and personal finances; Bormann used his position to control the flow of information and access to Hitler. Hitler’s cabinet never met after 1938, and he discouraged his ministers from meeting independently.

Hitler’s leadership style was to give contradictory orders to his subordinates and to place them into positions where their duties and responsibilities overlapped with those of others, to have “the stronger one [do] the job”. In this way, Hitler fostered distrust, competition, and infighting among his subordinates to consolidate and maximise his own power.

The process allowed more unscrupulous and ambitious Nazis to get away with implementing the more radical and extreme elements of Hitler’s ideology, such as antisemitism, and in doing so win political favour. It was protected by Joseph Goebbels’ effective propaganda machine, which portrayed Hitler as a heroic and infallible leader. Further, the government was portrayed as a dedicated, dutiful and efficient outfit. Through successive Reichsstatthalter decrees, Germany’s states were effectively replaced by Nazi provinces called Gaue.

The MAGA types used to talk about an education when it was a way to insult people who make the minimum wage and make it their fault that they were underpaid. They didn’t actually want peoples’ lives to be better, but rather to find a way to look down on entire classes of humans.

they are also trying to deflect attention about themselves, when they look down on "poorly educated: they are talking about themselves, but they add in a little racism, and you got another demographic that is generally very poorly well off as a people. its like “look over here, instead of us”

If MAHA has their way, the path to success is bootlicking Glorious Leader with pulling up our own bootstraps to stomp on the underclass.

They’re not conservatives. They want to conserve nothing. They seek only to destroy anything in the way of their own power, like all fascists.
