It’s dangerous to view America as a monolith

It’s so much more complicated than “Americans secretly bad, Americans too dumb too…”. a 40-50 year long effort of erosion by the wealthy, Christian elite, Republican governance, Gerry meandering, single issue voting, and so many other factors.

It’s damn class war behind a curtain. The rest of the world is susceptible to the same playbook

I agree because I’m in Canada and we suffer from the same things as you do. But the thing is that year in and year out, the majority of the time no matter what issue may be happening, everyone just had a short attention span and memory that they vote for leaders that won’t, can’t or don’t want to serve their best interests. Conservatives have a long track record of not helping people and making common people’s lives worse but they keep getting elected and no matter how much i may argue with my Conservative family and friends they can’t or don’t want to face that fact. I keep voting and supporting the left party … but the center party definitely not the right … the left. Even as we’re losing and we get laughed at, I’ll always vote left. I’m not joining in the stupidity so I feel comfortable when I point it out.
