The woman had had several items stolen from her mailbox at the Los Alamos Post Office already when she thought of the idea, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. Law enforcement tracked the AirTag to a block in Santa Maria, about 16 miles (26 kilometers) from the post office and arrested two suspects — a 27-year-old woman from Santa Maria and a 37-year-old man from Riverside.

    The most shocking part of this story?

    The cops actually did their fucking jobs and went to catch the perpetrators.

    The vast majority of the time they tell you to fill out a police report and go fuck yourself.

      And it takes them 6 months to even acknowledge the police report exists after you submit a FOIA request for it, but shipping insurance requires it to pay you anything.
