I’m a huge fan of creating a meme about another person, and using a drawing like this. It allows the person to remain anonymous.

She looks happy, at least. Maybe it’s kinda meditative. You don’t want to move too much. Just sit, relax, and be a table.

It’s brilliant in its simplicity. I’d never think of that. I’d try to overengineer something out of the environment, but with less skill than MacGyver.

I would just pull out the longer cable from my backpack. Or use the power bank I have in my backpack. Or use the power bank as a pass-through to use both the cables. Or accept the fate and shutdown my primary phone partially* or completely.

*Partial shutdown means disabling certain services and features to save power without fully shutting down everything. This does usually not mean using a battery saver. I use MIUI, it is already fairly unpredictable and regular battery saver** only makes this situation worse.

**There’s also ultra battery saver which kills everything deemed unnecessary running in the background. That couldn’t be more predictable.

That also turns off some other stuff for whatever reason (Bluetooth, WiFi client, WiFi hotspot, Legacy WiFi direct group). I only use the hidden “Disable mobile radio power” toggle. A bit more control that way.

Disabling Bluetooth for example has the undesired effect of disabling Bluetooth Tethering which then needs to be manually re-enabled, and it’s not like Bluetooth creates noticeable battery drain. That’s kinda its point. Low energy requirements.

You can reenable individual radios after enabling arirplane mode. Its just a shortcut to disable all radios.

If america didn’t have the worst plugs in the world this wouldn’t be a problem. You could just balance it on top like a well run country.

        Oh yeah.

She just looked white as fuck and because it’s English I figured it had to be American plugs because they are the worst.

        American plugs do suck.

        Yes.

UK plug is best in the world. Has three prongs so earth is always there. Also it pushes the protectors out if the way to open up the live socket so nothing can be incorrectly put in there. It’s solid and won’t fall out, you could hang a child off of that. Every plug has a fuse to protects the house and helps prevent fires. Live and neutral are partially covered in plastic so nothing can touch it when it is half in and the circuit is live.

EU plug is way sturdier that the shitty American’s plug. American plug looks like it is designed to fall out the EU plug stays in.

The aus plug is with weakest of the three because it is so similar to the american but at least it is tilted in a logical manner to stop a fucking plug falling out of the wall.

All three are based on a decent electrical supply so electrical items actually work

and you cant balance shit on top of the UK plug, i don’t even know if the top is flat but more importantly, it’s like 1/2-3/4 in thick at most, so it’s going to be precarious at best.

The US plug is pretty damn rugged, it’s just prone to gravity pulling it out over time if it’s loose or has a lot of weight hanging on it. Aside from that it’s not terrible, though the shock hazard is a little spooky.

All three are based on a decent electrical supply so electrical items actually work

unlike the brits we actually had copper before and after the war times, so our electrical lobbys lobbied for 120v standard, and we got it, mixed with 240v mid tap neutral phase for ground reference, so our 240v is actually safer than your euro 240v. as unless you touch BOTH lines, you can only get a 120v shock, though that does also mean both leads can give the potential for a 120v shock as opposed to only the live side (unless you have a floating neutral which can give you a decent shock) though both will obviously, give you a 240v potential shock. And our 120v is two separate phases, so that’s fun.

If you want to rant about how much better your electrical system is talk about RCDs, and then never fucking mention ring circuits because those are silly.

          shitposting over.
