It does have a decent loop area in between the signal and return path and any flux passing through it will induce noise. This area is too small for 60 Hz, but there’s a lot of microwave crap that would get picked up. If there isn’t a low-pass analog filter before the next silicon junction then this RF EMI will get rectified down. If it’s a sufficiently bad situation then you’ll hear it. That’s why you can hear garbage when you put your phone right next to crappy computer speakers.

I’d be surprised if they don’t start setting performance records soon. First plasma was a few weeks ago.

If waste heat becomes a problem then we have been wildly successful beyond our most optimistic hopes. Signs point to that future being an utter fantasy. It’s squarely in the “good problems” category. 2. Almost certainly unilateral moves by middle-sized nations seeing existential crises to inject albedo-altering aerosols into the stratosphere.
3. Depending on the timing of things in the next few decades we may be in an ice age very quickly from ice cap melt acceleration cooling the ocean. In an ice age the amount of arable land would dramatically decrease and if there is a harvest season at all it will be very short. Nearly everyone would starve.

It depends on what you mean by “work out”. If the goal is to stop conflict by eradicating a culture, that’s worked many times.

This is not a Just World fallacy because I’m not talking about justice or people getting what they deserve. My assumption is that OS developers are competent. Until I see otherwise I’ll maintain that assumption.
