they have half a point in that its typically only applied to people when a gender is unknown or you are referring to a group. that falls apart pretty quick though because unknown gender is barely any different from someone choosing not to identify with one. also, half a point is no good in the first place.

no, but that is because I am very young (recent adult) and dont want to commit to raising a child. if I were at an age where it would be reasonable to have a kid I dont think I would mind as long as I like the person.

ive been dailying Linux since august 2024 and plan to set up a jellyfin server and start collecting DVDs and CDs so I can own my media (plan is to rip them and stream through Jellyfin, pretty easy to do). on my computer the only proprietary things I use are steam, discord (vesktop), and Spotify. on my phone I have F-Droid but only really use HeliBoard.

i also want to set up a nas and try self-hosting email but it’ll probably be a couple years before I have the space or money to start working at any of that.

my friends do shit like that all the time like you were just saying “windows does stupid thing” and all I said was “linux does this instead they should be doing that on windows” and immediately the neckbeard with fedora gifs start flying

i work at a library. please put the books in the spot labeled book return. it may not seem like it but because there are so few people working there just a few people in the library can keep us so busy we will miss the books you put down. also, check if your library has an ebook/audiobook thing like Libby. the wait times can be long but it’s still pretty cool if you’re into those.
